Our team

One of the most important things of my life is sport. I was the multiple champion from Austria in wild water canoeing. In 1974 I began to fly with hanggliders and never stopped flying ever since (first pilot licensing course in 1986, pilot license number 105).
During the winter saison in 1980 I was the third man in the bobsled from Walter Dellekarth. One of my highlights was to participate in the 60th Vasa race in Sweden in 1983. After 1984 I ended my canoeing career and started to participate more in flying sports.
In the summer of 1985 I flew my first 120 kilometers FAI triangle (Goldeck-Iselsberg-Mallnitz-Spittal) with a hangglider from the mountain Goldeck. In 1986 I was the first Carinthian to start with paragliding. In 1989 I acquired the license for instructing paragliders and hanggliders. Two years later I also acquired the tandem pilot license for para gliders.
Since the opening of flight school Millstättersee in 1993 I mainly train paragliders in probably one of the best area’s from Carinthia.
In 1987 I began to play golf, in 1999 I played in the „China open Championchips“ with handicap 6.
In 2000 the name of the flight school was changed to „Fly Carinthia“.
